Levels Of Consciousness
9 levels of consciousness: a model of mental evolution
This original model describes the gradual evolution of consciousness through nine natural levels. It does not rank people as better or worse and is not a diagnosis.
What the model describes
Each level is connected with dominant needs, motives, ways of thinking, and patterns of behavior.
A person may show features of different levels in different areas of life, while one tends to remain dominant.
From foundation to wholeness
The model moves from physical safety, stability, belonging, and self-assertion to awareness, inner support, calling, conscious creation, and wholeness.
A later level does not erase previous ones: development requires an integrated foundation.
Why use a map of levels
The map helps reveal current tasks, motives, and the limits of a way of thinking. It provides language for self-observation rather than a fixed label.
Transition begins not with the wish to appear more mature, but with honest contact with what is present.
Questions and answers
The essentials, briefly
How many levels are in the methodology?
Olena Melnychuk’s model contains nine levels of the mental evolution of consciousness.
Are higher levels better?
The model does not divide people into better and worse. Each level is a natural stage with its own tasks.
Can a person be at different levels at once?
Different areas of life can show features of different levels, although one way of thinking often dominates.
